The Causes Of Tinnitus
There are many different things that can cause tinnitus. Some of the more common ones are as follows:
-
Loud Noises. This is the most common cause of ringing ears, or tinnitus. If you are constantly around loud noises it can cause damage to the smaller part in the ear canal and can cause ear ringing, ear buzzing, or ear humming. These symptoms of tinnitus can also come from too much exposure to loud noises when you were younger, for instance at very loud rock concerts.
-
Ear Wax Buildup. If you have large amounts of ear was buildup, you can experience ringing or buzzing of the ears. This is a problem that can be remedied, but you may need to go to a doctor to get them to clean out your ears.
-
Tubes or Ear Infections. Quite often, children that had ear infections and/or tubes put in when they were little will experience ringing ears, or tinnitus.
These are a few causes of tinnitus. There are others such as stress, serious head trauma, long-term drug abuse, and certain chemicals or ingredients in the food you eat. If you do suffer from tinnitus, browse around this site for ideas on how to deal with it and treat it.

Back about the first week in june, my ears started ringing. Then it got worse over that time period being around load and heavy equipment. This is all work related. I did see a audiologist md, and after the hearing I have a 90% loss in the left ear, 65% loss in the right ear. I’m seeking workmen’s comp. attorney over this situation. Right now, my ears haven’t stop ringing since last wednesday. I’m feeling fullness and pressure in both ears. Having a very stressful time in trying to sleep. Its hard to concentrate and worried about working around loud heavy equipment. I work for dot. Its very distressing knowing that this is a perment problem for every. Also I did wear hearing protection.
Thanks Mike
